During the COVID-19 Pandemic, LaserCare Eye Center stayed open to be available for our patients. We were one of few DFW Ophthalmology practices that implemented Telemedicine successfully. We also made drastic changes to help do our part to prevent the spread of the virus. With many medical experts citing the end of the pandemic phase of COVID-19, we are choosing to return to normal. Starting May 3, 2022, please expect the following:

Masks are optional for patients, staff and doctors. Our team of doctors and staff will honor a patient request that they wear a mask.

Please rest assured that our doctors are vaccinated. The majority of our Team is vaccinated and/or boosted. Staff and doctors are encouraged to keep current on COVID-19 vaccination.

During the pandemic, we added Telemedicine as a service to our patients. Our patients really enjoyed this. So, we will continue to offer Telemedicine appointments for surgery consultations, as well as for limited post-operative and emergency appointments. The physical exam on a Telemedicine visit is limited. Thus, depending on clinical presentation, our team reserves the right to require a face-to-face appointment. Please understand your Telemedicine visit will be billed to your insurance just like a regular office visit. Any copays/coinsurance/deductibles not paid by insurance will apply and will be collected by our staff. LASIK/SMILE consultations are always free.

Infection control has always been important to us. Going forward, we will continue our normal infection control measures. We will revert to normal use of our waiting rooms and return to normal clinic loads.

We closed our Optical shop during the Pandemic and plan to keep it closed for the foreseeable future.

We do not know what the future holds. But, we promise to do our best to promote patient safety and health. Should COVID-19 or another pandemic arise, we will make the appropriate changes.
