As of 2015, over 400,000 Laser–Assisted Cataract surgery procedures have been provided worldwide with this platform. The Lensx laser is the leading platform and has been used in more cataract surgeries worldwide than any other laser system.

The advantages are numerous:

Precise and customizable laser incisions instead of blade incisions. Great visualization by the surgeon using High definition Ocular-CT. Procedure automation. Use of the laser to “soften” the lens to allow easy Cataract removal.

Laser Cataract surgery is not covered by insurance. The procedure is expensive and most Ophthalmologists do not have it….yet. Not all patients make perfect candidates for the procedure.
